For 30 years, TENCEL™ has worked closely with partners across the globe to create sustainable products and fundamentally reduce the industry’s burden on the environment.

In Taiwan, TENCEL™ is proud to have teamed up with producers across the value-chain. From yarn spinners to manufacturers and retailers, TENCEL™’s active collaborations have developed into enduring partnerships, each centered around the goal of creating a more environmentally friendly future.

Taiwan-based textiles producer, San Yueh Textile, has shared nearly 28 years of history with the TENCEL™ brand. Cooper Tseng, San Yueh Textile Co. Ltd, Vice President says TENCEL™’s three-decade legacy of environmental responsibility is a key reason why they continue to use TENCEL™ branded fibers. “TENCEL™ has a strong brand image for creating innovative products which subscribe to industry-leading sustainable closed-loop production practices,” says Tseng. “The TENCEL™ brand is also committed to keeping its fibers traceable across the supply chain. Together, these features are important reasons why we continue to rely upon TENCEL™ branded fibers.”

San Yueh’s partnership with TENCEL™ branded fibers extends across Lyocell, Modal and LF lines which are used for a wide variety of yarns to help down-stream customers get the most out of TENCEL™. “Our TENCEL™-based products have always been very popular with down-stream customers. The variety of fiber types help them produce the very best eco-friendly products,” Tseng adds.

Partners also flock to TENCEL™ fibers for their distinguished characteristics. Lingerie manufacturer Taiwan Wacoal was initially attracted to TENCEL™ branded fibers for their unparalleled soft touch and the luster of fabrics made from them. Each of these qualities are crucial for the lingerie and underwear Wacoal is renowned for.

Alongside fiber quality, TENCEL™’s commitment to environmental protection cemented the brand as a long-term partner for Wacoal in Taiwan. “The TENCEL™ brand has always been concerned about environmental issues. Their commitment to reducing damage to the environment throughout the production process aligns with our sustainable operations,” says Taiwan Wacoal’s Manager, Selinna Lee.
